Dear Chee Kiat,
I totally agree with what you had said.
1. In East such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Singapore, we have always learnt that Feng Shui does not depend on highly commercialised products that are produced to satisfy the `demand' and driven by unscrupulous people in the name of " Feng Shui ".
2. When I tried to do a search under the search engines for Feng Shui products; for our friend in Portual; I found several Feng Shui emporiums that have tied in with so called Feng Shui practitioners to help `push' their products.
3. Feng Shui is now so contaminated and commercialised by all these association with material goods which are highly marked up and only to fool the unsuspecting .... to depart with their hard earned money.
Worse, for those who are already at a disadvantaged i.e. financial difficulities are made to buy these ex-goods.. what a pity...
4. It would be a different case, if many of these emporiums concentrate on items e.g. for Feng Shui students such as Loupans or coins. But these unfortunately do not generate big bucks for these emporiums.
5. We have heard of Feng Shui jewellery, wealth fountains, 3 legged toad etc...
6. Like Chee Kiat correctly pointed out, Feng Shui is based on the Five elements and almost anything found in the home can still be used as a Feng Shui `cure' or `tool'.
7. We should all begin to differentiate `real' Feng Shui with fake stuffs...
8. Fake Feng Shui material goods are only just as good as being decorative items ONLY.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
